That mostly depends on the pH of your soil. If I remember correctly, you get mixed colors in the same bush when the soil’s pH is around neutral. You’ll get only one color if the soil’s pH is acid or alkaline.
My grandmother used to break pieces of slate around our bushes back home to change the soil’s pH, and thus the flowers’ colors the next year 🙂
