Great fun with the PDX Broadsides at Ardenwald Park

Pizza with summer sausage, mushrooms, and oil-cured olives
Wondering what to do with leftover summer sausage? It’s great on pizza!
Fun at Oaks Park
Chicken sausage, green beans with brown butter, plus leftover rice and kale

Fort Clatsop is teh amaze.
The historical reinactment and lectures at the replica of Fort Clatsop, where Lewis and Clark and their Corps of Discovery spent the winter of 1805-1806, are FANTASTIC! You should definitely go.
Baxter and Mimi drive into WWI
Enjoying the vehicles at historic Fort Stevens.
What’s a family trip without a car nap?
I conned Baxter into catching 40 winks by driving him around the 3,800 acres of Fort Stevens this afternoon. It’s less guilt-inducing in the Prius. The rest of the family was enjoying more of Fort Clatsop. More about that later.
